The team have been achieving great results with their Hyde Sails aboard their Albacore, 8192 Gran Torino this season.
An impressive 5 bullets at the Albacore Open Meeting 18th & 19th July saw them easily take the win.
The team then made there way to the National Championships held at Brightlingsea Sailing Club. After a few minor rig improvements the Nev and Mark where confident of a wind. As is always the way with regattas, despite four 1st places, they had poor luck with wind shifts and a slight driver/crew error which saw them walk away with a podium finish in 3rd.
Mark Fowler commented "The boat with it's modified SuperSpar M7+ is showing good speed on all aspects of the course, we are finally doing justice to Richie's deep sail design. Our reaching in particular has improved dramatically, we can now match our upwind speed advantage, off wind. The boat is the quickest around the course"
Nev and Mark intend to race in their usual winter handicap events and look forward to the Nationals at Llandudno 2016 and the International Championships at Weymouth and Portland Sailing Academy 2017
Hyde Sails are proud to work with Nev and Mark and look forward to watching them building on their previous success!
