Hyde on fire at the Fireball Worlds

Hyde Sails came back into the Fireball class with a bang, Sales Manager Dave Hall along with chief sail designer Richard Lovering worked hard and fast from the beginning of the year to produce a set of sails that could compete on the world stage. The final sails ended up on the boats that both Dave and also 2 young Olympic team members – James Peters & Fynn Sterritt raced at the World Champonship..

James and Fynn were not expected to beat the current stars in the class and were using the event to get big fleet experience. However they soon achieved exceptional speed and found themselves battling with the front runners. With 4 race wins they came in second at the Worlds plus a third overall at the Nationals the week before. Dave with his crew Paul Constable came in 7th at the Nationals along with the first place masters trophy.
