Hyde’s Optimist sails have been going down a storm in Italy, and they just achieved the top Italian result at the recent worlds in Santo Domingo.

Young Andreas Totis took part in the 2012 OptimistWorld Championship and finished an impressive 32nd using a Hyde sail.

His coach, Riky Di Paco was delighted: “Very good news from Opti worlds,” he enthused to Hyde’s Italian distributors on his return. “My guy Andrea scored 32nd, best sailor of the Italian squad. I am very pleased with the Championship results, and both Andrea and me had some great times and experiences, and we both have the feeling that working hard we can only improve ourselves, the leading guys were not so far away!”

It was a great result and could have been even better as Riky explains: “After three days of racing he was in eighth place! Then some tiredness, lack of experience and a little bit of nervousness dropped our results down, but we are aware that we can do better!” He concluded: “Thanks a lot to you (Claudio) and to our Turbosail Hyde.”
