Hyde returned to this class in 2007 with great results. Charlie Walters and Dougal Cram have championed this development. Three suits of sails have been tested over the season. They have evolved to reflect the different mast bend characteristics and flatter profiles of new 5O5 designs.

Flying 15

The first half of 2008 saw Hyde undertaking some intensive sail development with the Flying 15 Class, resulting in a strong showing from Hyde-powered boats at the nationals. The main project over the winter of 2009 was the development of a new spinnaker design, which proved fast on its first airing at Bewl Valley SC.

Flying Dutchman

2009 Designs, produced for all boats with in the fleet. Over the past events these sails have shown better speed and height. On the First outing of the heavy Genoa It showed great potential and speed even for the lighter crews in the class. These sails are very versatile and can be depowered very efficiently to allow the sail to remain competitive across the wind range.
