Hyde Sails have run a focused development programme on the Osprey since the beginning of 2023 with new sail designs launched at the National Championships where they were successful in finishing 2nd overall.
Work has continued through the winter, lead by One Design Sales Manager, Ben McGrane, the designs have been evolved from the 2023 offering to give a better all round performance.
Mainsail manufactured in PXB05 laminate with development shape for 2024, a more powerful design with greater depth in the top half of the sail.
We have continued with our Dacron Genoa which has also been evolved with a view to a more powerful design.
Finally two spinnaker designs have been created, a VMG spinnaker ideally suited to round the cans style racing and reaching courses, and a larger running spinnaker aimed at the longer championship courses which also serves as a great option for heavier teams.
