Description
Using a 3.8 polykote Sailcloth from Dimension Polyant we use it in cross cut panel layout apart from the base where the large mainsail benefits from lining the threads up with the high load. In the body of the sail the cross cut panels mean the thread lines and bias stretch allow the sail designer to shape the panels to stand up in the light winds while the inevitable stretch can be utilised to depower the sail. With the panels running into the luff at an angle the bias on the cloth allows the Cunningham to work effectively and with a full base needed because of sheeting off the quarter the lens foot enables a wide range of adjustment.
The sail comes complete with numbers, battens and long sail bag.
